Richard Jackson is a registered Professional Engineer in both Ontario and British Columbia, with over 30 years of combined experience in fields that include Hydrology, Radioactive Waste, Remediation, Site Investigation and Characterization, and Litigation Support. He has worked as a ground-water hydrologist since the early 1970’s with specific expertise in radionuclides, arsenic, agricultural pesticides, and non-aqueous phase liquids in the subsurface.
Dr. Jackson joined our U.S. affiliate, INTERA Inc., in 1989, where he and his associated studied new modifications in petroleum-engineering methods, which they applied for the characterization and remediation of non-aqueous phase liquids (NAPLs). This work has led to many publications on the migration and fate of NAPLs in alluvium, as well as four patents.
Today Dr. Jackson is Principal Engineer with Intera Engineering Ltd., where he is task leader for geochemistry and petrophysics with the company’s project to characterize sedimentary rocks beneath the Bruce Nuclear site for low and intermediate level radioactive waste, near Kincardine, Ontario.
