Project: Mission Valley Terminal, San Diego

Client: Office of the City Attorney, City of San Diego

Richard Jackson is the hydrogeological consultant to the City of San Diego in the remediation of a 150,000 gallon gasoline release from the tank farm (shown in the foreground) that were trapped in the sands beneath the Stadium parking lot shown in the distance. Dissolution of MTBE and its degradation to TBA have resulted in a 2 km long plume that has migrated to the far side of the Stadium. Intera is responsible for protecting the City’s interests by reviewing proposals for site cleanup by the PRP, analyzing data, conducting simulations and proposing approaches for completion of cleanup by 2013.
